SUCCESS STORIES
|
|
We are proud of the hard work and dedication of our foster families, volunteers and supporters in helping our rescues find their forever homes. Below are a few of our success stories over the past three years.

 Trixie & Rosie After

Trixie and Rosie were two of the first guinea
pigs rescued by AMGPR back in December 2008. They had a severe case of mites,
were underweight and suffered from scurvy and hair loss. The pain from the
mites was so severe, Trixie was having seizures. After several rounds of
treatment and lots of TLC, the girls were ready to go to a new home in early
2009. Here they are with their new “forever sisters”! At last report, Trixie
and Rosie are still being spoiled rotten and loving every minute of it!

 Petunia, Rose & Skittles

Rose and Petunia were dumped at a local
vet’s office with several others. The kind vet took them in, spayed the girls
and, when they were recovered from surgery, called the rescue. They were not
here long! An adopter from Mississippi was looking for a cage mate for the
family boy piggy. They were heading through Atlanta on their way back home from
vacation and wanted to meet the girls. Being spayed, they would be perfect for
Skittles! The family fell in love with the sweet girls and brought them to MS
for a happily ever after!
Here are Rose and Petunia in new home with
the man of the house, Skittles.

Patches was living in a hot garage with 5
other pigs, boys and girls all together! Yep, Patches was pregnant when she
came to the rescue. Luckily she delivered with no problems and one of her baby
girls (Kyoshi) went to a great forever home with her. They now live in a
spacious cage with a loving family and best of all…they live INSIDE, where all
domestic pets belong!
