Metro Guinea Pig Rescue will be taking time off for the remainder of the
year. During this time we are not accepting incoming, nor processing any
new adoptions. During our hiatus, we are still available via email for
education and guidance for both surrendering and adopting.
those wishing to adopt for Christmas, you should reconsider giving any living
things as gifts, as the recipient should be involved in the process to bond
with the right pet. We suggest giving research materials and accessories
(we can guide you on the correct ones) as the actual gift and encourage waiting
until after the holidays to pick out the right pet, no matter what the species.
If someone is mature enough to take responsibility (or the majority of it) for
a pet, they are mature enough to understand there is a process and be willing
you for understanding that we all need to spend this time with our families and
our own pets, as they sacrifice much during the rest of the year. This is
